Aveley Cricket Club is an Essex based club with players from all around Essex. The club started its journey in 2016. However the root for this club goes all the way back to 2006 when it was being run as WestHam cricket club. The club takes part in various Saturday and Sunday cricket league including National cricket league, ED & LCL cricket league, Last man stand. Aveley cricket club is a friendly, vibrant and progressive cricket club that features competitive and successful cricket teams in the South East of England. In recent years the club took some major steps to progress in the arena of cricket to create opportunities for talented and aspiring young cricketers. Aveley cricket club currently has a senior management team of ten (10) including a chairman, president, secretary, manager and a coach. The club currently competes in two different Sunday leagues with around thirty registered players. Both Sunday home grounds are based in Essex (Ockendon Recreational Ground and Corringham Cricket Ground). While we do strive for success on the field of play, the social side of the club game is also hugely important to us. You’ll find lasting friendships very easy to come by at Aveley Cricket Club. We are an inclusive and nurturing club where new players and supporters are always welcome. For further development opportunities Aveley cricket club is keen to include a girls cricket team in the near future. The club also is aiming to promote cricketing opportunities for disabled people. This is also to be mention that out cricket season does not stop in the winter. The club is always busy arranging away tours and friendly matches. The club is also engaged in arranging various social events throughout the year, not to be surprised most of these events involve cricket. We also conduct an annual survey of our members and those associated with the club to help guide the Management committee’s continuous improvement programmed. Newham Cricket Club is a newly formed cricket club situated in the heart of the East End of London. Our home ground is Flanders field in East Ham, where the likes of Graham Gooch, Nasser Hussain and Ravi Bopara have graced, not to mention the legend that is Bobby Moore. Indeed, we are situated in an area of London, rich in cricketing talent and our potential as a cricket club is huge. The club was established in 2005 and reformed in 2008 after becoming moribund. We are a non-for profit community sports club and our purpose is to offer local people the opportunity to participate in regular sporting activity through cricket. Indeed, we are the only youth cricket club in Newham. Our club is open to all regardless of age, disability, race, sexual orientation, religious belief, ability and gender and we are currently recruiting young boys aged between 8 and 16 to compete in Essex Metropolitan Board cups. In fact, we not only recruit young people but their parents as well and we are always on the look out for new social members to join and volunteers to help with the day to day running of the club. Additionally, we are recruiting adults over the age of 16 to represent our senior men's 1st X1 and young females aged between 8 and 16 for our brand new junior female section.
